I’ll be the very first in my family to gain a college level, and that’s something I hold extremely close to my heart.
My family and I transferred to the United States in 2014 We chose Memphis as our 2nd home to begin fresh and develop a far better future.
When I finished secondary school in 2020, I determined to join the Army Book so I could function full time to aid sustain my family members monetarily. Along the road, my parents constantly advised me of the value of a college level. Honestly, I struggled with the decision between choosing work over school.
That transformed when I uncovered the University of Memphis Global (UofM Global) where I could earn my degree 100 % online from an accredited, country wide acknowledged Carnegie R 1 college. The flexibility of the program made it possible to balance work, life, and education. Once I signed up, I knew I made the best choice.
As an on-line trainee, I stayed entailed with school life via profession fairs and joining trainee companies like the Culture of Human Resource Monitoring. I wanted to get one of the most out of my university experience and connect with people that shared my passion for human resources.
Last November, I deployed to Kuwait, with a month left of fall term. Thanks to the support and framework of UofM International, I had the ability to finish solid, also making the Dean’s List. I’m taking 4 classes while serving on active duty, and I’m pleased to say I’ll be graduating in May.
Having the ability to serve my country, support my household, and earn my level implies the globe to me. I really feel ready to take on whatever comes next.
